Erakony Kudumbayogam was started by Dr. C.T. Kottaram, who as patron had a main role in the publication of ‘Kudumbacharithram’ in 1972. He was a great educationalist, was the president of All India Secondary School Headmasters’ Association. He was a delegate representing Travancore – Cochin State at the international educational conference held at Oxford. He was a senate member of Kerala University and member Faculty of education of Calicut University, won state award for best teacher in 1960.
He was joint secretary of Erakonny Kudumbayogam for 25 years and president for 24 years, played a major role in the publication of Erakonny Family History. He was a great teacher and won state award for best teacher in 1981.
He served many schools in and around Pala and was the Headmaster of St. Ephrem’s school Kaveekunnu for long years. He was elected president of Legion of Mary, Kerala several times.
